The Academy understands the problematic nature of adolescent substance abuse and recovery. We provide males and females ages 13-17 PHP and IOP services with Community Housing tailored to the needs of younger clients. Because their brains are still in development, adolescents require programming that addresses academics, family, peer relationships and all areas of their life as they continue to grow and mature. Our staff includes licensed psychologists and therapists, medical doctors and more. We provide 24/7 supervision and crisis management. Admission involves several comprehensive assessments, including medical, substance abuse and psychiatric evaluations. Clients are assigned individual therapists and case managers with whom they begin to develop ongoing treatment plans working toward discharge planning. Our goal is to make the transition back to school as smooth as possible. Within our educational component we work with various academic settings and require family participation and support. We also encourage clients to improve their physical fitness and team skills through personal and physical training. Clients may also participate in yoga, walking trails and fitness groups each Saturday morning. Our registered dietitian provides nutritional assessments and services. The Academy is located in an equestrian community. We have a working relationship with a local equestrian farm that provides our clients the opportunity to engage in Equine Assisted Therapy to allow them to develop self-confidence while overcoming fears and building trust. Our therapists provide weekly individual sessions with clients and their families and our case mangers work with clients and their families to introduce healthy sober activities in their community, social support systems, 12-Step meetings, High School, GED or college classes and therapeutic appointments.

Singer Island is located in beautiful Palm Beach County, an ideal setting for self-reflection. Licensed for PHP and IOP services, our clinical programming includes didactic group therapy, psychological assessments, family programming and community integration. Unique features include daily meditation, trips to the gym and/or massage services. We hold a group dedicated to introducing the 12 Steps and our therapists can offer faith-based counseling when requested. Our psychologist administers thorough assessments to identify presenting issues impacting the client and can provide important insights into treatment planning. The Singer Island program advances through three levels as clients make progress through treatment. Our clinical staff works toward motivating clients as they complete the requirements before moving to the next level. We also provide one-on-one sessions with family members and a bi-weekly Family Weekend during which families participate in all-day group therapy. Family passes are given to progressing clients who show engagement in treatment. We assist with transitioning, i.e. supportive housing or outpatient programming and schedule counseling appointments, as well as provide information on location and times of local support meetings. Structured gender-specific beach trips with reflective therapy are made each week to encourage mental wellness and personal reflection.
