Leading Edge is located in the suburban town of Hamilton, NJ. We are state-licensed for Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Services and can provide off-site supportive housing for out-of-town clients. Clients can expect a co-ed experience with the exception of gender-specific groups with a 9:1 staff-to-client ratio. Clients are provided bio-psychosocial assessments, medical exams and psychiatric evaluations to assist in determining specific treatment needs. Primary counselors are assigned upon admission to guide clients through treatment. Private family sessions educate families on common family issues, i.e. denial, co-dependency and enabling. We also hold bi-weekly multi-family sessions with all clients and their families. In-house 12-Step oriented groups and structured recreational activities are also included in programming. Every night, clients participate in outside AA and NA meetings. Structured recreational activities also take place every weekend. Clients are instrumental in helping to choose fun and unique activities to promote sober social living such as paintball, laser tag, rock climbing and bowling. In customized aftercare plans, we work to schedule clients with the most appropriate placement, be it sober living, halfway house, home or elsewhere. Additionally, all clients are provided with appropriate follow-up therapeutic appointments.

The Greenhouse is a southern-style mansion originally built by Neiman Marcus as a luxury spa. This 56,000 square-foot residential rehabilitation facility sprawls across more than five acres. Each client is assigned a primary therapist and works closely with a supportive multi-disciplinary treatment team. Our program, which is broken into four weeks of comprehensive curriculum, includes daily evidence-based education, recovery-oriented challenge and therapeutic groups, and weekly one-on-one counseling sessions - plus personal training, yoga, recreational activities and spa amenities and more, all within a serene environment of luxury and healing. The Greenhouse 30-day program is broken down into four weeks of curriculum, with several treatment modalities worked daily. The curriculum, Embracing Change: Recovery for Life emphasizes personal discovery in an engaging, visual way. We offer 12-Step and process groups, along with recovery-oriented challenge and family therapies. We also dedicate time to educational and therapeutic groups led by our licensed medical staff. The Greenhouse not only emphasizes clinical treatment, but also the therapeutic value of physical/nutritional wellness classes. These, along with interactive wellness activities, teach clients to enjoy taking care of their bodies and making healthy choices. Clients are encouraged to participate in daily morning fitness activities and meet with our NASM-certified fitness instructor to develop personalized fitness plans. Meditation, running groups and yoga provide diverse education from a spiritual aspect. Clients may also regularly enjoy spa amenities, swimming, tennis, interactive games and other structured activities.

The Academy understands the problematic nature of adolescent substance abuse and recovery. We provide males and females ages 13-17 PHP and IOP services with Community Housing tailored to the needs of younger clients. Because their brains are still in development, adolescents require programming that addresses academics, family, peer relationships and all areas of their life as they continue to grow and mature. Our staff includes licensed psychologists and therapists, medical doctors and more. We provide 24/7 supervision and crisis management. Admission involves several comprehensive assessments, including medical, substance abuse and psychiatric evaluations. Clients are assigned individual therapists and case managers with whom they begin to develop ongoing treatment plans working toward discharge planning. Our goal is to make the transition back to school as smooth as possible. Within our educational component we work with various academic settings and require family participation and support. We also encourage clients to improve their physical fitness and team skills through personal and physical training. Clients may also participate in yoga, walking trails and fitness groups each Saturday morning. Our registered dietitian provides nutritional assessments and services. The Academy is located in an equestrian community. We have a working relationship with a local equestrian farm that provides our clients the opportunity to engage in Equine Assisted Therapy to allow them to develop self-confidence while overcoming fears and building trust. Our therapists provide weekly individual sessions with clients and their families and our case mangers work with clients and their families to introduce healthy sober activities in their community, social support systems, 12-Step meetings, High School, GED or college classes and therapeutic appointments.

Desert Hope is the latest addition to the American Addiction Centers family. This gorgeous treatment oasis in the heart of Las Vegas has 148 beds (52 for women and 96 for men). With two floors, three wings on each floor and nurses’ stations located in each wing, the facility also includes a serenity room, gym, massage area, 5-star chef, complimentary housekeeping. Desert Hope offers evidenced-based clinical and medical programming and an integrated systemic approach to addiction and emotional/behavioral health issues. Its program, which lasts from 30-90 days depending on each individual’s needs, strongly focuses on trauma, maladaptive behavioral health issues and the tranquility and enlightenment of the 12 steps through its own 12-step walk. Traditional therapies, including group, family and individual, are offered, as well as recovery-oriented challenge therapy, expressive therapies and EMDR. Individual sessions are offered at least twice per week. Our evidence-based, peer-reviewed curriculum, Embracing Change: Recovery for Life, provides the framework for didactic groups. Utilizing a Motivational Interviewing base, this curriculum helps individuals learn about co-occurring disorders, coping strategies, relationships and family dynamics, and the principles of peer support groups. A family program developed by Wayne Raiter, MA, LICSW, which offers education and group process services/therapy to individuals and their loved ones, is also featured. FitRx is a distinguished behavioral health treatment center for men and women who struggle with eating disorders, behavioral health disorders and eating patterns associated with being overweight or obese. Our team of licensed clinical social workers and counselors, registered dietitians, board-certified psychiatrist, certified personal trainers, medical doctor, professional chef, and more, provides the education, support and training necessary to feel better and live longer. The foundation of our three programs is comprised of four main components of wellness, which are behavioral, medical, nutritional and physical. FitRx offers three programs designed to treat all realms of behavioral and physical wellness, and to suit each client's needs. Our goal is to determine the appropriate program before treatment begins. Each client receives several assessments upon entering treatment, from behavioral to physical to psychiatric. Program 1: Eating Disorders/Co-Occurring Disorders is for clients who suffer with depression, anxiety and other symptoms often associated with binge eating disorders. Forterus clients live in one of our 11 residential homes in Southern California. We have 10 homes in Murrieta, where we treat men and women, and one home in San Diego for men only. Both locations offer similar programs, though each location has specialized features. Our clinical model features a strong component of community integration. We encourage community-based activities as a means of additional support for all levels of care; studies support that the longer clients are engaged in treatment, the better their prognosis. Forterus provides 24/7 nursing staffed detoxification services during which time clients meet with a Medical Doctor, psychiatrist and licensed therapist for symptom management, withdrawal/medication stabilization and initial assessments. Treatment includes group and individual therapies, and specialized clinical groups as determined by individual needs. Structured activities and outings are also included. Available on Saturdays, primary therapists and counselors conduct family sessions with loved ones in person or via phone conferencing when geographically unavailable. Clients who successfully achieve sufficient clean days may participate in our IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program). By maintaining counselor support and actively engaging in community resources, clients are able to achieve their objectives and progress further in their recovery. The Forterus Murrieta campus offers a Christian track called ‘Building On the Rock,’ a faith-based group with its own curriculum, held several days per week. Murrieta also has a Pain Management track that provides non-addictive medication management as well as physical therapy and massage services. We also serve the LGBT Community and provide a track on Smoking Cessation/Wellness. San Diego offers an individualized Grief & Loss Track specializing in various loss issues. Meditation groups and yoga serve as supplemental services to the core program.

Singer Island is located in beautiful Palm Beach County, an ideal setting for self-reflection. Licensed for PHP and IOP services, our clinical programming includes didactic group therapy, psychological assessments, family programming and community integration. Unique features include daily meditation, trips to the gym and/or massage services. We hold a group dedicated to introducing the 12 Steps and our therapists can offer faith-based counseling when requested. Our psychologist administers thorough assessments to identify presenting issues impacting the client and can provide important insights into treatment planning. The Singer Island program advances through three levels as clients make progress through treatment. Our clinical staff works toward motivating clients as they complete the requirements before moving to the next level. We also provide one-on-one sessions with family members and a bi-weekly Family Weekend during which families participate in all-day group therapy. Family passes are given to progressing clients who show engagement in treatment. We assist with transitioning, i.e. supportive housing or outpatient programming and schedule counseling appointments, as well as provide information on location and times of local support meetings. Structured gender-specific beach trips with reflective therapy are made each week to encourage mental wellness and personal reflection. Weekly co-ed activities like barbeques are popular events and opportunities to come together as a community and have fun, bond, gain trust and teach clients the joy of sober social activities.
