Avenues 12 Women’s Recovery Houses were founded and established with the philosophy that recovery from the disease of alcoholism and substance abuse requires a clean, healthy and sober environment. We provide our members with an environment that inspires change. We give them safe, secure and beautiful homes in the middle of a year-round tropical climate. We surround them with caring individuals who themselves are true testimony to the benefits of living a healthy and sober lifestyle. This nonprofit transitional living facility strives to provide a structured and stable atmosphere that facilitates personal growth and accomplishment, including the support and resources necessary for these women to create a new life and become functioning members of society. An additional piece of the recovery puzzle involves bridging the gap between treatment centers and homelessness while integrating into daily family and societal life. We require attendance to 12 step meetings. Our members find meetings that are the best fit for them and in which they are the most comfortable. We direct our members to utilize outside counseling with specialized, experienced and reputable professionals. At Avenues 12 women learn to trust themselves again, where the transition from treatment to independence takes place almost effortlessly, where long-term recovery and sober living is not just a goal, it is a way of life. The structure and support offered at Avenues 12 is a proven method to help our women obtain their goals. We help change the course of women’s lives and we are confident that our facility and our staff can do the same for you.
