Types of AA Meetings

Closed: In Ohio, closed AA meetings are open to members only, including anyone seeking help for an alcohol addiction. The discussions center on topics related to alcoholism and recovery and all participants are invited to contribute.

Literature: Literature-led AA meetings in Ohio are support group meetings for people who are affected by alcoholism, including those suffering from alcohol addiction and those who have loved ones addicted to alcohol. These meetings are based on the Big Book of AA and other AA literature as part of a 12-step addiction recovery program.

Men: Select AA chapters in Ohio are reserved only for men recovering from alcohol use disorder. These groups offer no-cost 12 Step Programs that facilitate the safe recovery of men of all ages.
