Types of AA Meetings

11th Step Meditation: 11th Step Meditation is a spiritual-based stage in which members individually and collectively pray for greater strength to correct weaknesses and to make amends for injuries inflicted on others due to alcohol use disorder.

Closed: In Indiana, closed AA meetings are restricted to members of AA or people looking to overcome alcohol addiction. Outside observers are not able to attend. Discussions cover a range of topics related to alcoholism and recovery.

Wheelchair Access: Indiana AA meetings may have wheelchair access, which includes ramps and designated parking spots. The center’s layout allows non-ambulatory clients to safely navigate throughout AA events.

Women: Indiana AA meetings for women are peer support meetings for women who are affected by alcohol addiction, including those who are addicted to alcohol and those who have loved ones with alcohol addiction. These meetings use a 12-step recovery curriculum and are open to women of all ages free of charge.
