Reynolds, Indiana AA Meetings
Reynolds is a town in Honey Creek Township, White County, Indiana. Joining the Alcoholics Anonymous community has been shown to help people overcome alcohol use disorder. The Alcoholics Anonymous community is a worldwide organization that has been in existence since 1935. It was founded with the sole purpose of assisting members in remaining sober. The Alcoholics Anonymous community accomplishes this by using AA meetings to create a positive environment that encourages and motivates people who are struggling with alcohol use disorder. It also provides an opportunity for participants to support and encourage one another during the recovery process by sharing their addiction stories. Speaker meetings, big book meetings, and twelve-step meetings are the three types of meetings that the AA meetings in Reynolds organize. Members are encouraged to share their addiction and recovery stories as motivation for others at the speaker meetings. At big book meetings, members take turns reading passages from the AA big book and discussing their interpretations. Finally, participants are divided into small sub-groups at twelve-step meetings. They are given the task of completing the twelve steps outlined in the program. It costs nothing to join the Alcoholics Anonymous community other than your willingness to overcome alcohol use disorder.
