Bernardston, Massachusetts AA Meetings
Situated in the County of Franklin, the town of Bernardston consists of a large number of citizens that are slaves to the unhealthy use of alcohol. Addiction to alcohol is known to hinder people from reaching their true potential, and that’s why it’s a very alarming issue that needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. Alcoholics Anonymous is a voluntary fellowship of men and women that was founded in the United States in 1935 by Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith, both of whom had been strongly actuated by their own experiences in alcohol addiction. AA Massachusetts is a large community with thousands of members. The fellowship is organized locally and only accepts contributions that come from those who attend the meetings. AA meetings in Bernardston reach out to anyone that is affected by alcohol use by bringing affected individuals together and help them understand that they are not alone in their fight against addiction. These meetings aspire to assist alcohol users form new and stable friendships. These meetings follow the 12 step approach to provide a regimented training program that supports responsibility for self-care and prevention of relapse. The success of treatment in alcoholism is dependant on the goal the individual sets while first joining our community. An addict may only want to reduce his or her alcohol intake while another wants to completely give it up. But whatever the case, the AA community has shown plentiful positive results and is not willing to give up on its fellow members.
