Sheffield, Massachusetts AA Meetings
Sheffield is a town in Berkshire County, Massachusetts; it is part of the Pittsfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area and the town includes Egremont and Great Barrington villages. Our online directory of AA meetings in Sheffield may interest you if you have an alcohol addiction and live or work in Berkshire County. Whether you are new to the AA Massachusettes program, or you’re a seasoned AA member (old-timer) who recently moved to the area, Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in MA, such as those in Sheffield, will welcome you with open arms. Someone new to AA’s addiction recovery program may find it confusing. AA is a fellowship of those in recovery dedicated to helping others overcome addiction. People who have been in Alcoholics Anonymous for some time and have worked the 12 Steps (called “old-timers”) teach newcomers about the Steps and integrate them into daily life. AA group members focus on Step work in addition to regular meetings and service (volunteer) jobs. A newcomer is taught about AA’s 12 Traditions and the 12 Steps and integrating these spiritual principles into their day-to-day lives. There are no dues or fees for membership in AA, and anyone can join the group provided they want to stop drinking. Members may not offer advice to other members during meeting discussions. If you need a more structured addiction treatment program (such as a 24/7 residential program), we can help. Call one of our experienced treatment professionals to learn more about the inpatient and outpatient rehab programs available near you.
