Wilber, Nebraska AA Meetings
Wilber, the official “Czech Capital of the USA, is located in and the county seat of Saline County, Nebraska. To help residents with alcohol use disorder, AA Nebraska- the regional chapter of the global Alcoholics Anonymous community-has set up several support groups across the state. These groups grant members access to a community of like-minded individuals bonded by the common goal of defeating AUD. These meetings, which may be attended independently or combined with different treatment programs at different recovery levels, are non-judgmental and non-discriminatory. In the AA meetings Nebraska hosts, members are privy to social support and peer guidance from individuals who were once diagnosed with AUD but have now made significant progress. Sometimes, AA meetings in Wilber have open meetings where non-members are invited; these meetings are mostly speaker meetings. Speaker meetings are large meetings in which an experienced member comes forward to share his/her recovery story to motivate members and educate non-members. AA meetings may be attended alone or as a supplement to formal AUD treatment. Example of standard AUD treatment includes detoxification, medication and behavioral therapies. You can call our team of specialists for more information on treatment facilities near you. You can also locate AA meetings using the online directory.
