Schoharie, New York AA Meetings
Alcohol use disorder is a problematic pattern of excessive alcohol use that eventually leads to impairment or distress. This problem has become popular over the years and is affecting a lot of people in the USA. NY AA meetings are held to help combat this. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings help people in recovery meet and support each other because no one understands their situation more than those that are going through similar struggles. AA meetings in Schoharie aims to make sure members strengthen their vows to stay sober by implementing the 12 steps philosophy of self-recovery. Alcohol use disorder has 3 stages depending on the number of symptoms the person shows. Mild AUD is when the person shows two or three of the symptoms of AUD. If the person shows four to five symptoms, it’s considered moderate AUD. When it goes beyond six symptoms this is called a severe state of AUD and the person should consider seeking professional help. Some symptoms include developing alcohol tolerance and requiring more to feel the effect, always feeling an urge to drink, and continuing to drink even when this habit has caused clear psychological or physical problems. If you exhibit some of these symptoms it might be time to look into some help, AA meetings are recommended for mild and moderate cases but also for severe states in addition to looking into therapy.
