Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) is a nonprofit and voluntary organization formed by Robert Holbrook Smith and William Griffith Wilson to aid alcohol users get rid of their drinking problems. Those that are extremely addicted to alcohol are the ones most involved in abstinence and in the AA. Just as many individuals do not see the side effects of obesity until a heart attack, alcoholism is no different. That’s why the most symptomatic alcohol users are prone than others to join the AA. Unfortunately, the more symptomatic users have the most damaged relationships and in turn require forming new relationships to become sober.
