Banks, Oregon AA Meetings

Different factors can play a role in how alcohol can impact your body; they can be genetic, environmental, psychological, or social in nature. Multiple theories suggest that depending on the person, the strength of the impact on each body may differ. In any case, drinking excessively over time can change the normal functions of the brain, affecting the judgment, pleasure, and behavioral control. Additionally, an increase in alcohol tolerance can be brought about, meaning that more alcohol is needed to gain the same level of pleasure. All of these changes lead to needing to drink more and more to experience positive feelings and remove negative ones. This is a vicious cycle and breaking out of it as early as possible is the best way to gain back full control of your life. Why not try to break free of this cycle with the aid of Alcoholics Anonymous? This mutual support group is dedicated to helping people with alcohol-related problems support each other and gain sobriety.
