The meetings offer a number of ways to support ongoing recovery but the most famous one is the 12- step program. Since this is a mutual aid fellowship, AA is run by former alcoholics who help those currently in recovery. And in addition to that, Alcoholics Anonymous Pennsylvania provides a localized support system that influences sobering behavior changes that members need. The road to sobriety is never going to be an easy one, but everybody can achieve it if they are willing to work at it. As said before AA is run by members who are former patients of AUD themselves and they have a desire to help others because they know the struggles very well. And with this organizational structure, which has become extremely successful, AA continues to help it’s members achieve sobriety.
