It usually begins with a detoxification treatment at an inpatient facility, then medications and counselling sessions follow. AA Gonzales, like other AA Texas centers, offers a holistic approach to treatment, from one-on-one sessions, subgroup meetings and even family therapy. Their meetings have been known to be very useful in providing addiction treatment and guidance to people with alcohol and substance use disorders. The one-on-one sessions help deal with deep and very personal internal issues. The session for subgroups is where each one can open up about their addictions.
