Jourdanton, Texas AA Meetings

Founded in 1909 and named after founder Jourdan Campbell, the city of Jourdanton has established Alcoholics Anonymous programs to provide support for its residents who are suffering from alcohol use disorder. Alcohol use disorder is a brain disease where people continue to drink excessively despite suffering the negative consequences of alcohol abuse. People who are diagnosed with alcohol use disorder (AUD) normally meet two or more of 11 criteria in a one year period. There are many triggers for alcohol abuse. From binge drinking, emotional problems, abuse, low self-esteem, insecurities, to peer pressure. Millions of people across the world are struggling with this disorder. AUD also brings collateral damage. It also damages the life of people who are close to those who have the disorder. Support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) programs can help both the subject and those close to them better handle the issues surrounding AUD. Led by people who have recovered from AUD, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings provide a higher level of direct support to its members compared to what they typically get from loved ones and counseling. The fellowship of AA restores hope and builds confidence in people who are suffering from AUD. This directory groups AA Texas meetings including AA meetings in Jourdanton.
