Types of AA Meetings

Speaker: In Nevada, clients may attend AA programs, which include motivational speakers. Speakers, usually AA alumni, appeal to their audiences to harden their resolve against alcohol by appealing to their emotions, faith, reason, and wit.

Women: Women’s AA meetings in Nevada are peer support meetings for women who are affected by alcohol addiction. Free to attend and open to all women in the community, including women who are addicted to alcohol and those who have loved ones with alcohol addiction, these group meetings follow a 12-step recovery program.
