Types of AA Meetings
12 Steps & 12 Traditions: The AA 12 Step and Traditions programs in Arkansas provide essential support for those on their journey to recovery. AA meetings offer a safe space for individuals and their loved ones to find strength and hope together.
Big Book: The Big Book may be a center of discussion in Arkansas AA meetings. The Big Book features dozens of inspirational stories about men and women who overcame alcohol use disorder.
Literature: Arkansas literature-centric AA meetings are community support meetings for people affected by alcohol addiction. These sessions are free for all to attend. They follow a 12-step program and focus on the study of AA literature, including the Big Book of AA, AA workbooks, and other writings by AA co-founder Bill W and other leaders.
Open: In Arkansas, open AA meetings are available to individuals seeking help for alcohol addiction and nonalcoholics who want to learn more about how the program operates. This may include friends and loved ones of current members or anyone from the community seeking more information on the 12 step model of recovery.
Spanish: Spanish AA meetings are intended for members who have limited English-speaking skills or those who choose to participate in Spanish. Other features of the center, such as AA literature or sign-language interpreters, may or may not be available in Spanish.
