Types of AA Meetings
12 Steps & 12 Traditions: Tennessee's AA 12 Step and Traditions program welcomes individuals from all walks of life. Meetings provide a safe haven for those in recovery. Through regular and flexible meetings, lasting connections and support are cultivated.
Gay: Gay AA chapters can consist of members who are homosexual men or are simply gay-friendly. Topics in discussion are frequently related to issues facing gay men and their recovery.
Newcomer: In Tennessee, AA newcomer meetings give new members a chance to ask questions, share their personal experiences, and gain support from experienced members as they seek help for their drinking problem. These meetings may include an overview of what to expect for Steps 1 through 3.
