Bigelow, Arkansas AA Meetings

Bigelow is a town in Perry County, Arkansas that was incorporated in 1905 as Esau. The community was built largely on the timber industry. It also has a history of alcohol addiction. The town has Alcoholics Anonymous programs set up that offer assistance to residents who have an alcohol dependency. Regarded as the standard treatment of recovery for almost any form of addiction, Alcoholics Anonymous is one of the oldest treatment programs used for addiction. It is also one of the most popular and effective forms of treatment for alcohol addiction in the world. One of the primary reasons for that is its popular of ‘Twelve Steps’ and ‘Twelve Traditions’ methods. The ‘Twelve Steps’ was created by the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) as a guide or best practice to overcome alcohol addiction. It has grown to become the standard for nearly all addiction recovery groups, The steps are presented in a linear fashion, but they are viewed by participants as an ongoing circle. Each step may be revisited until the participant is fully comfortable with that stage of their recovery process. Residents of Bigelow can experience these steps by attending AA meetings in Bigelow. They can find the locations to these meetings, as well as any other Arkansas AA meetings in the state, with a quick search on alcoholicsanonymous.com.
