Boca Raton, Florida AA Meetings
Known for its golf courses, parks, and beaches, Boca Raton is a city located on Florida’s southeastern coast. The city might be beautiful but a portion of its population is dependent on alcohol. This condition, medically known as alcohol use disorder, is not easy to shake. It is even harder without the required support. To flee the clutches of alcohol addiction it takes a strong desire to become sober as well as stern discipline, courage, and determination. It also takes tons of support. This is where peer support like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) comes in. It provides a unique form of support that is hard to find elsewhere, even from professional counseling, family support, and residential alcohol rehab. Attending AA meetings and being in the presence of people who are handling similar struggles provides a source of strength and hope that loved ones who may not have experienced the addiction journey might not be capable of providing. Like every other AA program, AA meetings in Boca Raton are free to attend. The only requirement for entry is a strong desire to become sober.
