Forest Park, Georgia AA Meetings
Forest Park is a city in Clayton County, Georgia. A portion of the city’s population is struggling with the consequences of alcohol addiction. Thankfully, these residents can resort to Alcoholics Anonymous programs that have been established in the city to offer support to those who are alcohol dependent. Alcoholics Anonymous, or AA, is a global team group support organization that was founded by Dr. Bob Smith and also Costs Wilson in 1935. The men, who themselves overcame alcohol addiction, started the organization with the aim of helping people to quit drinking. They later established the now popular “Twelve Steps” program before developing the “Twelve Traditions.” Both methods govern the operations of the organization in different ways. The “Twelve Steps” focuses on the members of AA while the “Twelve Traditions”’ concentrates on the organizational aspect of AA. The “Twelve Steps”’ inspires accountability and responsibility from its participants. Most of the steps emphasize developing a connection with a higher power and pursuing a spiritual transformation through prayer and meditation. However, AA does not impose any religious beliefs or ideology on anyone as it is not a religious organization. Alcoholicsanonymous.com groups AA meetings for states throughout America, including AA meetings Georgia. The locations to AA meetings in Forest Park are listed on the directory website.
