Bardstown, Kentucky AA Meetings

Named after the pioneering Bard brothers, Bardstown is a home rule-class city in Nelson County, Kentucky. A portion of the city’s population is struggling with AUD (alcohol use disorder). AUD is a medical condition where an individual has a hard time controlling their drinking. Alcoholics Anonymous, or AA, is one of the foremost treatment techniques that helps people with AUD to reverse the disorder through abstinence. It has a long track record of success, helping millions of men and women from all races, nationalities, counties, and beliefs overcome alcohol addiction and attain long-lasting soberness. Alcoholics Anonymous was founded in 1935 by Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith. The aim was to help other people who are suffering from alcohol addiction to fully recover as they did. Since then AA has maintained its fundamental principle of support. In AA, senior members “sponsor” newer members, guiding them through the recovery process. Being a “sponsor” is basically acting as a mentor to younger members, which is a major source of inspiration for them since these senior members have already gone through the alcohol rehabilitation process and have maintained sobriety for a very long time. For residents of Bardstown who are interested in getting involved in AA can do so by attending AA meetings in Bardstown K. These meetings, as well as other AA meetings in Kentucky, are listed on alcoholicsanonymous.com.
