You do not need to register, pay, or call yourself an alcoholic to attend an AA meeting in Houston. Show up a few minutes early, take a seat and listen. Nobody is required to speak.

Local AA in Houston is coordinated by Intergroup Association, Inc., known as Houston Intergroup, which runs a phone line answered around the clock by volunteers who can help you find a meeting or just talk through what to expect. How much do AA meetings in Houston cost?

Nothing. AA groups are self-supporting through voluntary contributions. A basket may be passed for donation, but no one is expected to give, least of all a newcomer.

Do I have to call myself an alcoholic to attend?
