Katy, Texas AA Meetings
The once railroad town is now a city just west of Houston, in Texas. Several residents of Katy are struggling with a dependency on alcohol. To provide support to them Harlingen AA Katy TX meetings have been set up in the city. AA or Alcoholics Anonymous is a global fellowship that was founded by Dr. Bob Smith and Bill Wilson in the 1930s. The men, who overcame alcohol addiction, created the program with the objective of helping other people do the same. The popular 12 Steps process was later developed to govern its meetings. The 12 Traditions came after to bolster the purpose of AA. These steps encourage accountability and responsibility from its members. Holding themselves accountable will lead them to admit that they have a drinking problem. At AA meetings members and attendees openly share their personal alcohol addiction experiences. Sharing intimate details of your addiction story to a room full of people can be uncomfortable for some people and may bring second thoughts. However, like many have you could find the open and honest discussions to be of tremendous value on your road to recovery. AlcoholAnonymous.com also lists other AA Texas meetings from other areas in the state.
