Types of AA Meetings

Step Meeting: Maine AA programs can include step meetings. In these meetings, participants compare their recovery experiences with each other and the corresponding stage in the 12 Step Program. Members then suggest ways to improve their progress for the next step.

Women: Women’s AA meetings in Maine are peer support meetings for women who are affected by alcohol addiction, including women with alcohol addiction and those who have loved ones who are addicted to alcohol. Held at various locations within the community, these meetings use a 12-step addiction recovery curriculum and are open to all women at no charge.
