Types of AA Meetings
12 Steps & 12 Traditions: Utah's AA 12 Step and Traditions programs provide a welcoming environment for all individuals seeking support in their recovery. Meetings foster an environment of compassion and understanding. Through inclusive peer-led meetings, individuals find solace and encouragement in their recovery journey.
Big Book: Utah AA programs often feature the Big Book in discussion groups. This anthology is a collection of stories about real people who successfully controlled their alcohol use disorder and can inspire participants to do the same.
Discussion: AA discussion meetings in Utah revolve around a certain topic that relates to alcoholism and recovery. These topics normally come from a designated AA text, such as Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. After the leader shares their personal thoughts on the subject, other members can participate in the discussion.
Speaker: Utah AA centers often bring in speakers to encourage members from relapsing. Speakers employ humor, charm, reason, faith, and emotions to inspire their listeners to resist alcohol.
Calls to numbers on a specific treatment center listing will be routed to that treatment center. Calls to any general helpline will be answered or returned by one of the treatment providers listed, each of which is a paid advertiser: Recovery Helpline, Alli Addiction Services.
By calling the helpline you agree to the terms of use. We do not receive any commission or fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a caller chooses. There is no obligation to enter treatment.
