Sunrise, Florida AA Meetings
Sunrise is a city in central-western Broward County, Florida; the town is part of the Miami metropolitan area. If you live or work in central-western Broward County and are searching for AA meetings in Sunrise, our online directory of AA meetings Florida may be helpful. Newcomers to the AA program may benefit from learning about the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Working the Steps is one aspect of what is referred to as “working the program.” In addition to working the Steps, AA members also volunteer for service work (such as signing up to facilitate meetings). It’s important to note that each AA member may work the Steps differently. The Steps are meant to be worked with an AA sponsor (mentor). Each sponsor will have a unique method of working the steps. Some may have you write out specific Steps (such as making a list of amends you need to make and to whom). Other sponsors will have you do action steps, and most sponsors will guide you in writing out some parts of the steps and performing action steps for others. The overall goal of the 12 Steps is to learn how to integrate each Step into your daily life; this results in personality changes that will help you get sober.
