Like so many communities in the United States Eldred, located in McKean County, Pennsylvania, has a history of alcohol addiction. Therefore, the borough which was named after Judge Nathaniel B. Eldred has in place Alcohol Anonymous programs to offer support to its residents who are struggling with a dependence on alcohol.
