Firebaugh, California AA Meetings
Firebaugh is a city located to the western part of the San Joaquin River just about 38 miles west of Fresno County in California. The city has a lot of people who are suffering daily from alcohol use disorder. When you drink too much that your body eventually becomes dependent on alcohol then you have acquired alcohol use disorder. The level of dependency some people get into doesn’t allow them to stop even when they know that it is having negative effects on their life. Alcohol consistently consumed at the initial stages creates chemical changes in your brain that makes you want to drink more often. However eventually you end up engaging in drinking to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Members of AA California are meant to take responsibility to change themselves and help others who need them. At AA meetings in Firebaugh the members tell slobbering tails one at a time and discuss some of the challenges they have faced in applying the 12 step method. Every AA fellowship can provide a substitute for drinking while members make new friends and find new ways to cope with cravings. The slogan “Think through the drink” encourages members to consider the long term consequences of their actions.
