Alcohol use disorder happens to a lot of people and it has become very common in the United States. Even though alcohol use disorder happens to anyone regardless of their age, gender, race, or religion some risk factors leave some people more vulnerable to be affected by it than others. Although alcohol use may start in the early teen years, alcohol use disorder is common among people in their late 20s and early 30s. The amount of alcohol increases as the person grows because their tolerance grows over years of drinking, this doesn’t mean that younger people can’t be affected by AUD. People who start drinking early are even at a higher risk of suffering from alcohol use disorder. The risk is higher for people who have a parent or other close relative who has problems with alcohol. People with a history of emotional or other kinds of trauma are at an increased rate as well. People who have friends or close partners that drink regularly could also increase the risk. AA California are held throughout the state.
