Erlanger is a relatively medium home rule-class city in Kenton County, in the US state of Kentucky, and is part of the Cincinnati-Middletown Metropolitan Area. Alcoholics Anonymous programs allow for persons who suffer from alcohol use disorders to try and correct the problem by the utilization of meetings. These meetings may or may not make a total rectification of the AUD. However, if further treatments are needed, these persons will be referred to a rehab center, or an addiction recovery program. Access to these meetings is provided by a local directory listing, which provides adequate information about the local rehab centers and alcohol addiction programs. The AA meetings are supervised by previous members known as sponsors, and welcome is displayed amongst all the persons involved. Meetings are open and closed- at the open meetings, members are allowed to invite friends and family to support. They speak on matters of trying to stay sober and alcohol-free and the hurdles that they have experienced. At the closed meetings, members are allowed to have private sessions without the inclusion of families and friends. The program includes a 12 step method of healing and transformation. At the AA meetings in Kentucky, there are large and small group meetings, women’s only and men’s only meetings as well as spiritual sessions.
