The small town of Boothbay Harbor is a popular destination for water-related activities such as sailing and kayaking. Boothbay, Maine, is home to an art festival and an opera house, and unfortunately, it’s also home to some who struggle to cope with the adverse effects of alcohol use disorder (AUD). Those with AUD can find help and support by attending AA meetings in Boothbay Harbor. AUD is a chronic medical condition characterized by a preoccupation with alcohol, the inability to quit drinking, and deteriorating relationships. People with AUD are rarely able to recover without outside help. Alcoholics Anonymous has been helping folks with AUD recover worldwide for nearly a century.
