Lorain County, Ohio AA Meetings

Located in the middle of north-central Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie, Lorain County is home to more than 300,000 people but maintains a hometown atmosphere. Unfortunately, Lorain County is not untouched by the devastating effects of alcohol use disorder (AUD), a chronic disease whose trademarks include uncontrolled drinking, the inability to stop drinking without help, and trouble in relationships. AA meetings in Lorain County offer peer support and fellowship to help you get on the road to recovery. Those who experience AUD represent diverse people, and various meetings are provided to meet individual needs. Meetings for beginners, women’s only and men’s only meetings, LGBT meetings, etc., are a few of the unique meetings nearby. Use our directory to find a meeting to attend. AA membership is simple; there are no meeting fees or membership dues, and the only requirement is a desire to stop drinking. The AA program is explained in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and is known as the 12 Steps of AA. It’s a spiritual self-improvement program that has been successfully used worldwide for almost a century. Members share their recovery stories in meetings; all members are invited to share but are welcome to listen until they are ready.
