Herman, Nebraska AA Meetings
Herman is a village in Washington County, Nebraska, United States. Due to its small population size, there are not as many AA meetings in Herman as there are in larger towns and cities. There are, however, many other AA meetings in Nebraska that can be attended. AA has been providing those with alcohol use disorder guidance and support since it was originally founded in 1935 but Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith. There are all sorts of different types of AA meetings. Generally, the meetings last about an hour and start off with a reading of the AA preamble which details out some of the high-level important aspects of AA. Some of the details in the preamble include the fact that AA does not charge any membership dues or fees, that the only requirement for membership is the desire to stop using alcohol, and that AA is not affiliated with any one religion, political party, or outside organization. AA promotes mutual support among its members, meaning that it is not a form of professional treatment. Rather, AA is a peer support group.
