Kings Point, New York AA Meetings
Located in the town of North Hempstead, on the Great Neck Peninsula, Kings Point is part of a group of hamlets and villages collectively called “Great Neck”. The village, like many towns in the state and all over the United States, has inhabitants who are dealing with alcohol use disorders (AUD). However, these residents are not left to fight this debilitating disease on their own as support in the form of Alcoholics Anonymous is set up to help them. Alcoholics Anonymous or AA is the biggest and longest operating alcohol support set up in the world. AA provides numerous methods of support for alcohol addiction including the 12-step and 12 Traditions programs. These programs are highlighted in the organization’s guide called ‘The Big Book’. The book is referred to as the organization’s bible as it is a great source of recovery resources and inspirational stories that is usually of tremendous value to people who are seeking help for their drinking problems. AA meetings are non-discriminatory or apolitical. Its ‘open meetings’ encourages persons who may not have a drinking problem to attend. Locals can find AA meetings in Kings Point that are listed on our directory which updates frequently and also includes other NY AA meetings from other areas in the state.
