Alcoholics Anonymous Pennsylvania includes individuals that are struggling to control their alcohol consumption and have decided to put their foot down and try to control it. The individuals have decided to take that first step towards the road to sobriety. The group of people who attend AA understand that alcohol use disorder is a serious problem and if not stopped they know that it could lead to Terrible consequences. Since it is an addiction it might be hard for individuals to stop drinking on their own seeking outside help is always recommended. Recommended treatments for AUD besides attending AA meetings include visiting a psychological counselor, going through a medically managed detox or withdrawal process and taking medications. Symptoms exhibited by people with AUD include constantly getting a strong craving to drink, not being able to control the amount you drink and trying but failing at stopping the use of alcohol.
