Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania AA Meetings
Elizabethtown, commonly referred to as “E-Town”, is a borough in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The borough, which is located 18 miles southeast of the state capital Harrisburg, has a portion of its population dependent on alcohol. A dependency on alcohol is not easy to shake. It is even harder with the necessary support. To escape the clutches of alcohol addiction it takes more than a strong desire to get sober, discipline, courage, and medication. It also takes a lot of support. This is one of the reasons why group support therapy such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) has been so effective and popular. It provides a high level of support that is hard to find elsewhere even from professional counseling and family support. The fellowship among people who are dealing with similar struggles provides a source of strength and hope that loved ones who may have not experienced the addiction journey are not able to provide. Like every other AA program, AA meetings in Elizabethtown are free to attend. The only requirement for entry is a desire to become sober. AA meetings do not discriminate against anyone regardless of their race, religion, gender, nationality, or financial status.
