Highfield-Cascade, Maryland AA Meetings
Highfield-Cascade encompasses the closely spaced unincorporated communities of Highfield and Cascade in Washington County, Maryland. The combined census-designated place (CDP) only has a population of a couple thousand. However, a fraction of that tiny population is suffering from alcohol addiction. The CDP has Alcoholics Anonymous meeting locations set up to help members of the community who are struggling with the disease. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is an international fellowship with the primary goal of helping individuals to conquer alcohol addiction and achieve long-term sobriety. AA uses the “Twelve Steps” concept where individuals admit they cannot control their addiction, make amends for previous mistakes made in their lives, and take full responsibility for transforming their lives. AA hosts counseling sessions called AA meetings. These sessions are one-hour-long gatherings that offer possibilities for individuals to connect with other people who also have an alcohol dependency. AA meetings provide opportunities to hear addiction stories from various other people with similar alcohol addiction struggles. AA meetings in Highfield-Cascade offer assistance to Highfield-Cascade residents who need help with alcohol addiction. The locations of these meetings, as well as all other AA meetings Maryland, are listed on alcoholicsanonymous.com.
